Right, but still, they all have provisions where the rich members paying tens of thousands a year to belong to them may bring a certain number of guests, or one guest at a time who may have to pay a one-time fee but not fully join. So then one of limited means, or no means whatsoever, could, in theory, though not in probability, locate a real Athertonian who could sustain membership in such organizations, and you could petition them, conceptually speaking, of course, to be their guest for an afternoon. I'm not saying an old, bald zero like myself could pull that off, although I'm not above being delusional enough to try, but that at least, metaphysically speaking, it is not ruled out that perhaps woman of a certain style might be able to charm herself into the good graces of some Athertonian and thereby gain admission for a few moments into the inside of the Athertonian power structure. Would it not be like a heathen entering the Holy of Holies, too scandalous to resist, of one could pull it off?
